We’ve listed 10 reasons why you should visit Cavite (as the title impliesđ). 5 for Breathaking places in Cavite and 5 for mouth-watering foods that originally came from cavite. That makes you feel want to visit cavite!
(1) PANCIT MALABON

Surprise! Despite popular knowledge this favorite pancit dish actually ORIGINATED from GENERAL TRIAS and began back in the day when General Trias was still called San Francisco De Malabon. Made of glass noodles, shrimps, smoked fish and eggs mixed with shrimp sauce and topped with chicharon, this version I tried is a bit more âsaucy .â
(2) TAGAYTAY PICNIC GROVE

As the name implies, it is a perfect place for having a picnic bonding with families and friends in one of the cottages arranged along the slope. A couple of barbecue pits are also available. The 13-hectare Picnic Grove is not only just for a picnic. It also offers various recreational activities. There are two zip lines and a hanging cable car, and visitors can take souvenir shots there. Horseback riding is also available.
(3) FRIED LAWLAW – A Cavite City special

This Crispy deep-fried may have a funny-sounding name but the tiny fried fish fillet is no joke to make. âIt is so hard to fillet that fish, only one small restaurant in Cavite City has been doing it since the 1800s. Crunchy like chicaron thatâs a bit salty, but perfect with rice and dipped in spicy vinegar.
(4) BALITE FALLS

Balite Falls is nestled in a simple but clean and peaceful resort in the town of Amadeo. The latter is famous for its coffee; many coffee shops get their supply of beans from this town. A stream running through the resort drops down on a small shallow pool before cascading down into a larger and deeper pool at another lower level. The two waterfalls thus formed are the centerpiece of the resort. The waters of the stream and falls are relatively clean. The resort is covered in lush vegetation and is ideal for picnics or a quiet getaway.
(5) MUTYA NG CAVITE

The rich creamy soup is originally from the old 7 Sisters Restaurant, owned by the Sabater family in Marulas, Kawit. Consisting of mussels, crab, clams, and shrimps, it shows off the fresh seafood catch available in Cavite. If you love seafood, then this is something you must really order.
(6) MT. PICO DE LORO

Mt. Pico de Loro, also known as the âParrotâs Peakâ, is a popular destination for mountaineers throughout the country. Many people are curious to witness for themselvesthe iconic rock peak. Mt. Pico de Loro is the highest point in Cavite. From here, one can see the wide plains of Cavite and the South China Sea. At the summit, mountaineers can see the Parrotâs Peak and even climb it if daring enough. Itâs definitely worth to climbthe peak just for the sights alone. The breeze from the sea is carried all the way to the summit, so itâs always a refreshing experience even during hot or dry days.
(7) VALENCIANA

Since no Pinoy meal would be complete without rice, how about a dish that is a complete meal in itself. Valenciana is a typical dish from General Trias, it is similar to the Spanish paella with chorizo de Bilbao, chicken and pork but with coconut milk to give it that creamy taste.
(8) SKY RANCH

one of the famous parks in the country located in the second summer capital of the Philippines, Tagaytay City. Aside from Bulaluhan and popular restaurant around the city, some people tend to visit Tagaytay just to experience Skyranch. City dwellers looking for a quick weekend recreation will surely enjoy Skyranch since it has a lot to offer aside from it fun park rides and exciting activities. One thing that you shouldnât be missed is âThe Sky Eyeâ, dubbed as the tallest Ferris wheel in the country. From the top of Sky Eye is an incredible view of Taal Volcano along with the provinces and cities surrounding Tagaytay. Not only kids but also kids at heart will surely enjoy Tagaytay Skyranch.
(9) SOLIS LECHON MANOK

Long before Baliwag, Sr.Pedro, Pagtakhan and other dozens of lechon manok sprouted like mushroom – Cavite City has its very own brand of popular lechon manok.
Available daily at Tina Solis in Ronquillo
(10) BORACAY DE CAVITE

BORACAY DE CAVITE (as most people would call it) is a small cove located in Ternate, Cavite. Officially named Katungkulan Beach Resort, featuring a beach that has gray-ish sand that is so fine and soft to the feet. One of its most striking features is the towering stone wall on one side of the cove perfect for your “selfie” and “cam whoring” moments. The water is not turquoise blue, but clean. Corregidor Island and the Mariveles mountain range in Bataan are also visible from the cove.
